Harsco Rail's continuing training program, year 2010 school schedule.

Our schools will commence in January and continue through March. The cost for school is $450.00 per student per course, payable in advance. Registration is mandatory and should be done as early as possible to assure yourself a seat. (See Registration Procedures). (There will be a $250.00 charge for No Shows that do not cancel 7 days prior to Class date)
All schools listed for 2010 will be taught at Harsco Rail Columbia facility (Class Room A). Harsco Rail is located at 2401 Edmund Road, Cayce – West Columbia, SC (Highway 302, just past the entrance to the Columbia Metro Airport).
Classes are held Monday through Thursday 8:00am – 5:30pm. Classes will end Thursday afternoon at 5:30 pm.
Please read the schedule and contents carefully to insure that you register in the proper class.
In addition to training at Harsco Rail facilities; customers requiring on-site classroom training can make arrangements and rates for training through Dennis Bryant at 901-835-3937 or Tom Totzke at 803-807-1872.

Registration Procedures
- First, review and select the course you require. Note that some courses will be conducted only once this year.
- Some courses require knowledge of working with blue prints and schematic reading.
- The cost for school is $450.00 per student per course.
- School registration can be accomplished by filling out the registration form and delivering as follows:
NOTE: All method require; Name of person making reservation, Name of person attending, Name & Date of Course or Courses, Company Name, Company Address, Billing Address, Invoice amount, P.O Number or Check or Money Order or Credit Card (When using credit card, make sure credit information is filled in; i.e., type card, number, name as it appears on card, expiration date).

Course Schedule Year 2010
ADVANCED ELECTROMATIC MARK III
Model ECTR130 Machines (Electric over Hydraulic)
Course Description
This course will cover in detail the Safety, Operation, Delta System, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of the Mark III tampers. Other topics covered; Solid State Controller, Graph, Auto-Graph, Compu-Liner, Compu-Liner V, and troubleshooting techniques.

Model 6700 JUPITER MECHANICS
Course Description
This course will cover in detail, the model 6700 Jupiter production / switch tampers. This will include safety, controls, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting with the Jupiter System.
A thorough discussion of the electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems will be covered in detail, including the various adjustments of these systems.

ADVANCED ELECTROMATIC MARK IV (VME)
Course Description
This course will cover in detail, the Mark IV, System V production/switch tamper. This will include all aspects covering safety, controls, calibration, and maintenance.
Troubleshooting both the hydraulic as well as the electrical systems will be covered including proper use of test instruments. A thorough discussion of all main toolbars and their functions, plus Smart I/O diagnostics will be covered.

Model 6700 JUPITER OPERATORS
Course Description
This course will cover in detail, the model 6700 Jupiter production / switch tampers. This will include safety, controls, setup, maintenance, operations, and track work, lining curves with the Jupiter program.
Complete course for operators.

Model 6700S OPERATORS
Course Description
This course will cover in detail, the model 6700S Production / Switch tampers. This will include safety, setup, controls, and maintenance as applied to all aspects of track work.
A thorough discussion of the 6700S machine as to applying it to the track, including lining curves with the Auto Curve Computer.

This course will cover in detail, the model 6700S production / switch tampers. This will include safety, controls, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
