HR3000 Series B HY-RAIL® Guide Wheel Attachment
The HR3000 Series B HY-RAIL® guide wheel attachment is used to adapt medium-duty, chassis-cab truck, meeting Harsco Rail's recommended vehicle specifications, for highway/railway applications where a vertically-actuating rear unit is desired. This unit is ideal for applications where other equipment must also be mounted on the rear of the vehicle.
HR3000 units are for rear position installation and may be used in conjunction with either Harsco Rail's Series A or Series V HR3000 front units.
The unit is lowed and raised vertically with a hydraulically-acted "scissors" type mechanism. A joystick-type control valve provides control of both sides of the unit simultaneously or independent control of each side separately to make placement of the guidewheels in the rail position easier.
Unit bolts directly to the vehicle's frame rails and features coil sprint suspension and height-adjustable mounting. Available in insulated and non-insulated versions. Also available are optional air-actuated, tread-type brakes with composition shoes and fold-down rail sweeps. An electric air compressor and a hydraulic power unit are available for installation on vehicles not equipped with air brakes of hydraulic systems.
