HR4000 Series V HY-RAIL® Guide Wheel Attachment

HR4000 Series V HY-RAIL® Guide Wheel Attachment

Harsco Rail's HR4000 Series V HY-RAIL® guide wheel attachment is used to adapt heavy-duty, chassis-cab trucks meeting Harsco Rail's recommended vehicle specifications for highway and railway applications where a vertically-actuating front unit is desired. This unit is ideal for applications where it is necessary to minimize front unit overhang. The unit attaches to the vehicle's front end with mounting brackets and spacers specific to the vehicle model.

HR4000 Series V units are for front end position installation and may be used in conjunction with other Harsco Track Technologies' rear units.

HR4000 Series V units feature mounting flanges with multiple mounting holes and telescoping guide tubes with internal coil spring suspension and externally mounted double acting hydraulic cylinders for raising and lowering the unit.

With bolt-on mounting, the unit is easily adjustable for vehicle load, clearances and tracking. Air-actuated, tread-type brakes with composition shoes are standard. Optional fixed rail sweeps are available.

HR4000 Series V units are available in insulated and non-insulated versions. A hydraulic power unit is also available for installation on vehicles not equipped with hydraulic systems.
