Harsco Rail Wins NRC Safety Award

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (January 31, 2019)-- Harsco Rail recently attended the annual NRC/ REMSA Conference and Exposition in Marco Island, FL. During the conference The National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC) recognizes members with strong workplace safety programs. Awards are given to the companies that exemplify a commitment to safety and that recognize the importance of providing a safe work environment.

HARSCO RAIL WINS MTA CONTRACT

Seven-year agreement calls for provision of 65 flat cars in support of MTA New York City Transit’s subway projects

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (October 15, 2018) Harsco Corporation’s railway track maintenance division, Harsco Rail, announced today that it has been awarded a multiyear contract by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) of New York. The pact – valued at approximately $40 million – calls for the construction and delivery of 65 flat cars by the end of 2021.

Pact extends existing agreement with Port Authority of Allegheny County

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 25, 2018)Harsco Corporation’s railway track maintenance division, Harsco Rail, announced today that it has been chosen by the Port Authority of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, PA for delivery of one tamping machine.


The contract calls for the provision of a specialized Mark VI machine, with an expected delivery date by Winter 2019. The Allegheny County Port Authority purchased the machine to improve and maintain track structure which, in turn, improves passenger rideability.
