Model BE-PR Ballast Regulator

Model BE-PR Ballast Regulator

The Model BE-PR Ballast Regulator is a modern, ruggedly built on-track railway maintenance machine designed for one-man operation in all ballast regulating operations.

Before tamping, the unit is used to redistribute the ballast from areas with excess material to areas where additional material will be needed for efficient tamping.

After the track is tamped, any remaining excess ballast is distributed to areas where needed.

The BE-PR also contours and dresses ballast on the track shoulders and then sweeps the top of the sleepers moving any loose ballast into the sleeper cribs.

Features include

  • Fully enclosed air conditioned two-man cab with sound dampening, tinted windows and adjustable seats.
  • "X" plow assembly.
  • Articulated self aligning broom assembly with forward direction operation and fitted with solid broom sweeps.
  • Stone shield with a conveyor for distribution of the swept ballast to either shoulder of the ballast profile.
