Harsco Rail announced that earlier this month they hit a major milestone with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), which is one of the busiest commuter rail roads in the United States. On May 2, 2020, the 250,000th tie was successfully installed on Long Island Rail Road.

Agreement strengthens Harsco Rail’s strategic relationship with the United Kingdom’s largest railway infrastructure company

CAMP HILL, PA (March 11, 2020) - Harsco Corporation (NYSE: HSC) announced today that its Rail division has been awarded a three-year (with an optional two-year extension) mobile maintenance train service contract by Network Rail, the largest infrastructure manager of railway network in the United Kingdom. The contract, valued approximately at USD 25 million, calls for Harsco Rail to operate and maintain Network Rail’s fleet of eight mobile maintenance trains. The contract is scheduled to begin in April 2020.

HARSCO RAIL SECURES MAJOR RAIL EQUIPMENT ORDER IN GERMANY

CAMP HILL, PA –(September 16, 2019) – Harsco Corporation (NYSE: HSC) announced today that its Rail division has secured a major order with Europe’s largest railway infrastructure manager DB Netz AG. The agreement – the first ever between Harsco Rail and DB Netz – calls for the development of as many as 56 catenary intervention and maintenance vehicles for the German railway system. The seven-year contract has a total value of $290 million. The initial order quantity confirmed is 16 vehicles with delivery starting from 2022. It is expected that seven more machines will follow two years later.

(October 15, 2018) Harsco Corporation’s railway track maintenance division, Harsco Rail, announced today that it has been awarded a multiyear contract by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) of New York. The pact – valued at approximately $40 million – calls for the construction and delivery of 65 flat cars by the end of 2021.
